The 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) after an in-depth review, has made corrections to this year’s nominations list. The scheme asserted that despite many submissions received for corrections and errors, only two made the cut.
On April 15th, 2024, a press release detailed that two songs, “Lonely Road” by O’Kenneth & Xlim Kid and “Kwaku Ananse” by Amerado, had to be reexamined.
In Amerado’s case, The board replaced the remix of the song “Kwaku Ananse” with the original version, which earned him a spot in the Most Popular Song of the Year category, after it was initially nominated for the Best Highlife Song category.
The Board through presser went on to thank Stakeholders and assured all of its commitment to fairness in the Awards scheme.
The organizers have scheduled the 25th TGMAs for June 1st to honor the achievements of artists from various music genres in the Ghanaian music industry.
Stonebwoy, leads the pack with fifteen noms, followed by Kuami Eugene at fourteen and Sarkodie grabbing eight.
