What’s Next After Printing Your Appointment Letter?
1. Get Your Letter Endorsed
Take your appointment letter (with the attached User Agency form) to the organization you’ve been posted to. The letter must be signed by the head of the organization, head of department, or HR director, and stamped with the company’s official stamp.
Pro Tip: Arrive early! Some non-subvented agencies (private institutions) may turn you away if you arrive late.
2. Schedule Your Regional Registration
Once your letter is signed, return to the NSS website. Log into your dashboard and schedule an appointment for your regional registration. You’ll select a date and time for your manual validation and registration.
Important Dates
– Registration begins on Thursday, September 12, 2024
– Registration ends on Monday, September 30, 2024
– National Service officially begins on Tuesday, October 1, 2024
3. Visit Your Regional NSS Office
Go to the NSS office in the region where you’ve been posted on the scheduled date and time. Make sure you bring:
– Your endorsed form
– A valid national ID (preferably the Ghana Card)
– Passport-sized photo
– E-Zwich Card (if posted to a public sector agency)
Being well-prepared can help you avoid delays.
4. Receive Your Regional Acceptance Number (RAN)
After completing registration, you’ll be given a Regional Acceptance Number (RAN). Head back to the NSS website, log in, and reprint your appointment letter, which includes your RAN.
Next Steps:
Print 3 copies of the letter:
– One for the NSS District Office
– One for your place of posting (whether public or private sector)
– Keep one copy for yourself
What If You’re Rejected or Haven’t Been Posted Yet?
If your assigned organization rejects you, request a release letter and take it to the NSS office for reposting. If you haven’t received a posting, visit the NSS office for assistance.
